Where are they now?

Dylan Smith, parents Larry and Colleen Smith (Canyon Lake residents), attended Canyon Lake Little League from tball to Juniors (1999-2008), played at Temescal Canyon High from 2009-2012.  In both Little League and High School, he played SS and Outfield, along with making the All Star team every year, he carried a 4.0 GPA thru all his years at school.
While not a lot of attention from scouts thru High School, Dylan kept his head high and worked hard.  He got the opportunity to try out for the Palomar College Baseball team, where he became a two year starter at SS/OF.  Dylan has just signed on to play for San Jose State.

"Dillan Smith, the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, has signed with San Jose State and has also been selected to the California all-state team by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association.  Smith, who came to Palomar from Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, hit .381 as a sophomore during the 2014 season with 17 RBIs as the Comets' leadoff hitter. Smith stole 18 bases in 21 attempts and made only two errors for 114 chances, playing 36 games in centerfield and three games at shortstop.  Smith, who batted.338 for Palomar as a freshman middle infielder in 2013, led the Comets to their fourth straight Pacific Coast Athletic Conference  championship during the recent season as they won the conference by seven games over runner-up Southwestern. At San Jose State, Smith will play for coach Dave Nakama, a former Stanford assistant who coached Palomar head coach Buck Taylor when Taylor played at San Francisco State.  Smith is the Comets' 10th 2014 player to sign with a four-year school."
